The image was taken on my way to school and it was the beginning of the wind storm that we’ve had for a few days. It was difficult holding the camera still but also waiting for the subject to return to position and hold still.

The next three images were taken over the weekend. I woke up before sunrise to take some shots of the temple and the farms behind the temple. I don’t know what actual photographers prefer, but I love this lighting. It’s enjoyable to shoot because there’s very little interference. Out of the times I’ve shot photos, I prefer the morning light. There’s enough to see but it’s dim enough to give a certain solemn feeling.

While editing, I’m trying to explore what I can adjust. I’ve discovered the vibrance tool and I think I went overboard with it. But it made such a difference to the colours in my images. It made certain things pop that I really loved. I don’t know if I like it for all my images, but I’m excited to learn how to use this tool properly through experience.

  1. Sefa, I really like your images of “Illegal” and “Potato-land” the composition is really intriguing and I love that about your images. In “Potato-land” I love how the rustic door adds so much character to your image. On the “illegal” image, I love how the lock is dark indicating that it’s supposed to be locked up and then there’s light towards the field in the background, it’s very cool.

I would love your feedback on my photos, feel free to check my work out at: https://afisherinthesea.wordpress.com/

  2. Hey Sefa, cool pics. I liked the one with the lock. I just really like shallow depth of field for some reason so maybe that’s why. I also liked the temple picture. It was from a different perspective that we don’t always get. Here’s my blog if you want to check it out: https://adambuys.wordpress.com/2016/05/04/motion-freeze-and-blur/.
